Marcus Trufant starred at Washington State University, where he was a four-year starter in the secondary and finished his college career with 201 tackles and 11 interceptions, ranking among the school’s top defenders while helping lead the Cougars to bowl games, including the 2003 Rose Bowl.
Drafted 11th overall in 2003 by the Seattle Seahawks, Trufant played 10 NFL seasons (2003–2012) as a shutdown cornerback, recording 644 total tackles, 21 interceptions, 2 sacks, and 2 defensive touchdowns, and earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2007.
Trufant officially retired in April 2014.
