Original 19th-century carte de visite photograph dating to approximately the early 1870s. This portrait was produced by the New York Art Gallery studio located at 817 Broad Street in Richmond, Virginia, a known post–Civil War photographic studio operating during the Reconstruction era.
The image features a young man in formal attire with a bow tie and neatly parted hair, photographed in a classic studio pose typical of the period.
